The number of WordPress functions can be dauntingly. Why not print a helpful cheat sheet for future reference? This one will do the trick!

Update: Due to the broken link to the PDF, we’re now hosting a version of the PDF on our servers, so it’s available again! Thanks, Matt Ward, for the link.

  • http://bleucellar.com Mike

oh wow, love it, haven’t learned all the tags yet so this will save a lot of time looking through tutorials and the wordpress codex. thanks!!

  • Richard

I love cheat sheets so the more the better, however, as I’ve let the author know on the linked site, it seems that the get_calendar() function is in there twice in the WordPress Template Tags section.

Nevertheless this is great for me.

Yes awesome cheatsheet by Ekin. I wish it was in an html page, as opposed to pdf. Who prints these days anyway?

  • Parsons

I just wish there was more! WordPress is a big gnarley beast.

  • http://atourworst.org Jordan

While I don’t mind having to go to the WordPress Codex to look up some things, having something like this on hand definitely helps. The cheat sheet I have is way outdated (2.7) so now I can finally replace it.

My only qualm is that I wish it wasn’t landscape and that the color contrast was better so it would be more readable. Oh well, beggars can’t be choosers!

    • Nori Silverrage

Well I hardly consider one version way outdated, outdated yes, but there wasn’t soo many changes in 2.8 that you would be lost… :) However, a current cheat sheet is a good thing.

Thanks alot for it, just downloaded and printed a copy!

  • http://wingsofwax.ca Ian M Rountree

This is an excellent idea! Granted, it’s rather contextual and bare-bones, but it’s just enough to ensure a -working- theme, which I assume is the point. The devil is in the details, as they say, but as previous poster Jordan says, that’s what the Codex is for.
    Handy! Awesome!

  • http://www.aldrinponce.com aldrin

great cheat sheet, hope there will be chm format or manual for wp.

  • http://www.spoonfedproject.com/ Blaine

Just a thought… why not link each block of information to it’s respective area within the WordPress Codex?

Have a look here for a complete list of functions.

    This is amazing!
Instead of looking through the WordPress Codex for tags and etc when I am in the middle of developing a WordPress theme or plugin I can refer to this cheat sheet and 9 times out of 10 has what I am looking for.
Thanks man, really impressive and very visually attractive!

These are great WordPress resources – I actually just started digging into a really really solid book on WordPress 3.0. It’s got some really nice code samples, and is written by a few pro WordPress developers (including some from Envato). I’m actually giving away 2 copies of the e-book on my site – check out the details about the e-book and the giveaway here – I think you’ll dig it : http://bit.ly/lq20Ff
