Preparing Your Mac for Mountain Lion

Apples next big operating system is set to release in the middle of this month and its likely that youll be one of the many users who are upgrading from Snow Leopard or Lion. Its not surprising, either, because there are a lot of great features in this update and its going to be the same price for users of either of the aforementioned versions. In light of that, why not update to version 10.8, Mountain Lion?

Easy Ways to Automate Your Mac’s Schedule

Your Mac comes with lots of ways to schedule tasks, but not all of it’s ready to go out of the box. Beyond automated maintenance, OS X has a lot going for it, but you have to put in a bit of elbow grease to get everything working how you want it and on your schedule.

How To Migrate All of Your Important Data To Your New Mac

We recently saw another WWDC come and go and despite little to no progress in the desktop area, the MacBooks all received nice upgrades. This means there’s a fresh crop of users transitioning to a brand new machine, a task which always brings with it a decent number of questions.

What were the results of the poll a few weeks ago?

I remember so many great suggestions for new sites on the network. The last thing we need is yet another site teaching techtards how to use a mac…

  • Vasil

There was a lot of good ideas in the poll you have made: SEO tuts, Social marketing tuts, business tuts. Those are really useful to people who visits the tuts network. The MAC tuts seems to be very unnecessary.

Aren’t there already enough mac sites out there? Besides, don’t they “just work”?? All the other tuts serve a real purpose, where these appears that it would only appeal to very basic users and not the audience that would be making use of your other tuts. Is there also going to be a Win tuts?

Interesting points, Peter. As a “power user” of a Mac myself, I think there are a lot of things that could be taught on how to really make the most of the power a Mac affords. Same goes for Windows. Anything beyond the basics requires learning :)

Like Sam and Vasil state, this is pretty disappointing. I read a ton of great suggestions and was really hoping for something useful rather than yet another Apple-centric blog.

Another great tutorial site by Envato. Cocoa and Xcode can be used to create really cool things for apple. It will be much better if iphone/ipad apps development tutorials are also included in it.

I think this is a welcome addition, may be more generalist than other Envato sites but I am very interested in efficiency and automation in os X workflows so will be checking in and probably creating some tips and tricks tutorials myself.
